With over two decades of experience spanning marketing, advertising, PR, design, and strategic planning, Debbie has left an indelible mark on over 150 businesses nationwide. Debbie began her career in the hospitality industry with Sheraton Hotels, where she excelled in sales and marketing, breaking records and managing major events. After hours, she worked with Bill Graham Presents (BGP), one of the largest concert promoters in the U.S., contributing to the opening of the Shoreline Amphitheater with Steve Wozniak in 2006. This experience sparked a deep passion for music and gave her the unique opportunity to go backstage with some of the biggest performers in the industry.
Debbie’s next role as Production Coordinator for a non-profit agency allowed her to collaborate with Hollywood actors and musicians on live radio and TV promotions. She worked with notable figures such as Cherie Currie of The Runaways, Reggie Bannister, Morgan Hunter, and Angus Scrimm. This role deepened her experience in live event production and talent coordination.
She then transitioned to the event production industry with Amazing Events, where she managed sales, marketing, and event planning for major Fortune 500 clients including Nokia and Microsoft. During her first year, she helped double the company’s revenue, leading them to their first $1M year. She was also instrumental in concert productions for iconic bands like the B-52’s, the Beach Boys, and Royal Crown Revue, as well as planning large-scale corporate events. One of her most notable accomplishments was planning a 10,000-person event at a theme park, featuring two live bands and a spectacular fireworks show.
In 2000, Debbie joined a non-profit organization working in collaboration with 15 cities across the county and First 5 California (under the direction of Rob Reiner) to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood education. There, she honed her strategic planning skills, supported by training from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. She also worked with actor Alan Rich (Disclosure, Quiz Show) to produce a short film for the initiative and helped raise funds for his non-profit, We Care About Kids.
Following this, Debbie took on a leadership role with The Parkinson's Institute, where she successfully raised $2.5M through a capital campaign and event for 700 guests by improving marketing materials and strengthening outreach efforts.
In 2006, just six years after graduating with honors and earning her BS in Advertising & Marketing (with a second minor in Radio/TV/Film production), Debbie launched Dream Weaver Marketing, a consulting business that allows her to combine her diverse expertise in marketing, event production, and strategic planning.
In 2019, Debbie further expanded her expertise by completing certification in Human Resources Management, reinforcing her ability to integrate HR strategies with marketing initiatives to drive organizational success. Her dedication to empowering businesses spans various diverse industries.
